The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) is a globally recognised organisation that promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment.
IPAF training courses are developed by leading industry professionals and cover all mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs). There are courses for operators, delivery drivers, demonstrators and managers/supervisors.
Static Vertical (1a)
Vertical personnel platforms that remain static
Static Boom (1b)
Trailers/push-arounds and vehicle-mounted platforms that remain static and may have outriggers

Mobile scissor lifts and vertical mobile personnel platforms

Push Around Vertical (PAV)
MEWP’s for Managers (MM)
The essential course for those who plan, supervise and manage the use of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP’s) in the workplace.
Harness Training (H)
This course instructs a user to select, inspect and use a harness and associated equipment safely when using a MEWP.
Course duration is a half day to two full days, dependent on course and includes theory and practical learning.
Upon completion of each course, the candidate will be issued with a digital Powered Access Licence (PAL) card as proof of training, issued and accessed via ePAL, IPAF’s free mobile phone app.
