IPAF Training
The IPAF training course Push Around (PAV) is designed to teach candidates how to prepare and safely operate push around verticals.

Push Around (PAV) Course Agenda
07:45 Arrival. Registrations, tea and coffee.
08:00 Course starts. Introductions. Information about IPAF and the digital powered access license set-up (PAL).
08:30 Pre-theory (practice) test.
09:00 Presentation. Includes modules on Health & Safety, IPAF categories, structural parts, familiarisation & pre-use checks.
10:15 Mid morning break
10:30 Presentation. Includes modules on platform movements & travel. Ground conditions, hazard awareness, and safe operation.
11:30 Post theory test (multiple choice)
12:00 Lunch break
12:30 Practical session begins. Candidates practice pre-use checks and operating machines.
13:30 Start practical tests.
15:30 (approx.) Take photographs, fill in log books.
Course finish time will depend on individual candidate prior experience.
Booked onto an IPAF training course? Don't forget to bring:
- Photographic ID (passport, driving licence)
- Full body harness
- Safety boots/glasses
- Hard hat
- Hi-vis jacket
- Waterproof clothing (if rain is likely)
- Your lunch
IPAF Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive their PAV IPAF qualification via ePAL, IPAF’s free mobile phone app.
PAL cards are valid for 5 years after which a refresher course will be needed to renew the licence.
