Summit Platforms Enhances Fleet to Support Operational Efficiency

Summit Platforms has continued to modernise its national fleet with the addition of four new Volvo FM 8x2 rigid trucks, further strengthening its transport capabilities across the UK.

The new vehicles have been strategically allocated to depots in Birmingham, London East, Newcastle, and Portsmouth, ensuring enhanced coverage and improved service responsiveness for customers across key regions.

Each truck is specified with a Volvo 13-litre 460hp engine and fitted with a Sterling GP low-profile beavertail body. This combination delivers a robust and efficient solution for transporting powered access equipment, supporting safe and reliable delivery to site.

The latest additions form part of Summit Platforms’ ongoing focus on operational efficiency, ensuring the fleet remains modern, reliable, and aligned with the demands of its growing customer base. With additional vehicles already on order, further fleet expansion is planned in the coming months.
