Summit Platforms Conquers Snowdon in Support of Edward’s Trust
Boots On! Excited and ready to roll
On Thursday 11th June, despite very tough weather conditions including heavy rain and fog at the summit, the team made it to the top of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) together in a challenging but brilliant hike. This proud moment for Summit Platforms marked a great day in the mountains for a fantastic cause - Edward’s Trust, our 2026 charity partner.
A Team Effort for a Fantastic Cause
The team is ready, the boots are on, and Snowdon awaits was our message before the challenge. Now we can proudly share that the team, from across Summit Platforms’ 10 strong depot network, completed it together.
Edward’s Trust supports families through bereavement and loss, providing vital support when it’s needed most. As our 2026 charity partner, they embody the values of community and care that Summit Platforms stands for.
Thanks to all the incredible support from donors and those who sent messages of encouragement, we’ve raised significantly more than our original target. A big thank you to everyone who donated, it really helped drive us on through tough rain and wind.
Still Time to Donate
There’s still time to support Edward’s Trust and help us extend the impact of today’s achievement. Every donation makes a difference to families navigating bereavement and loss. Donate here https://www.justgiving.com/page/summitplatforms
About Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)
Yr Wyddfa, known as Snowdon in English, is the highest mountain in Wales and England at 1,085 metres (3,560 ft) above sea level. Located in Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, it’s one of the UK’s most iconic natural landmarks and a popular challenge for hikers.
For our team in the powered access industry, the height is particularly impressive: Snowdon’s summit is equivalent to stacking almost 19 of our largest 58m booms fully extended!
The mountain is also home to internationally important wildlife species including the rare Snowdon Lily and Snowdon Beetle, making it not just a physical challenge but a place of ecological significance.
A proud moment for Summit Platforms, and a great day in the mountains for a fantastic cause.
