This advanced, category-specific training is designed for experienced MEWP operators working in higher risk or complex environments, such as steel erection, confined overhead spaces, and challenging terrain.

Training includes a short theory session, intensive practical exercises, a theory test, a practical test, and an individual interview. Successful candidates will have the relevant “+” categories added to their PAL Card.

The PAL+ qualification is valid for five years.
Yes, you must hold a valid IPAF PAL Card in the relevant machine category before attending PAL+.
PAL+ is often required for net riggers, steel erectors, and on Build UK sites. Always check your site’s requirements.
Yes, PAL+ training may be eligible for CITB funding if your company is registered with CITB-Construction Skills.
Currently, PAL+ is only available in English in the UK.
