Summit Platforms National Engineering Manager James Holloway said:

“It’s great to see another group of apprentices successfully complete their training. Supporting people to develop their skills and technical knowledge is a key part of what we do and helps us continue to grow as a business.

“These individuals have shown real commitment throughout their apprenticeships. They should be proud of what they have achieved, and we’re pleased to see them progress into qualified engineering roles with Summit Platforms”

Now-qualified engineer Jordyn Hughes said:

“The apprenticeship has been a great opportunity to learn and develop in a supportive environment. I’ve learned a lot along the way and I’m looking forward to taking the next step with Summit Platforms.”

Summit Platforms launched its apprenticeship programme in to help address skills shortages in the powered access industry and ensure its engineering teams have the expertise needed to deliver the highest standards of service.

This year’s newly qualified engineers build on the success of previous cohorts, including four apprentices who achieved distinctions in 2024, highlighting the quality of training and support available across the business.

Throughout their apprenticeships, participants gain the practical experience needed to service, maintain and repair powered access equipment, while developing a strong understanding of safety, quality and customer expectations in a fast-paced operational environment.

Summit Platforms continues to invest in apprenticeships as part of its long-term commitment to developing talent and supporting the future growth of the business. The programme plays an important role in strengthening the capabilities of one of the UK’s largest access platform and telehandler hire specialists.

The next intake of engineering apprentices will begin in September 2026. Anyone interested in starting a career with Summit Platforms please contact [email protected].
