Summit Platforms expands network with new Yorkshire depot
Powered access and telehandler specialist Summit Platforms has continued its national expansion programme with the opening of its third new depot this year.
The new depot in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, is now providing the high-quality of service and equipment that Summit Platforms is known for to a region that includes Leeds, Sheffield, Doncaster, York, and Hull.
Since the start of 2021, the company has also opened depots at Haydock, to serve Merseyside and Greater Manchester, as well as a new West London depot, in Radlett, Hertfordshire. These new depots join the existing locations in Glasgow, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Birmingham, Bristol, London East and Portsmouth.
Summit Platforms Director James Watson said: “We now have a network of nine depots located strategically across the UK.
“Every Summit Platforms depot has a locally based hire desk team to look after all of our customers’ requirements, using their extensive knowledge of the industry and the local area they serve.”

This latest addition to Summit Platforms network of depots means the company can provide consistently high standards of service to both national and local customers anywhere in the UK.
Summit Platforms operate a full range of access platforms and telehandlers, including, low level access, scissor lifts with working heights from 5m to 33.7m, boom lifts from 7.7m to 43.15m, and telehandlers from 4.78m to 20m.
Access platform and Telehandlers manufacturers operated by Summit Platforms include JLG, Genie, Skyjack, Niftylift, Snorkel, Dingli, and JCB. Summit Platforms also offers a range of safety equipment and attachments, as well as IPAF powered access training.
